Mediabridge Ultra Series - High Speed HDMI Cable - 10ft - Category 2 Certified - Supports 3D & Audio Return Channel

I dont work for the company or anything just so everyone knows......I ordered 4 of these in place of a Phillips HDMI, an INSIGNIA HDMI and a 2 pack of VIZIO HDMI cables of which I purchased for a total of over 0!!!!! These cables produce the same quality of the VIZIO cables and they are more HEAVY DUTY FEELING and 3 foot longer each and WAY WAY WAY cheaper!!!!! Not to mention that they support ARC (audio return channel)and 3D! I have 1 hooked to a 120hrtz Aquios LCD 42inch and the other 3 hooked up to a 42inch Panasonic Viera Plasma to connect an XBOX360, a PS3 and a HD Sat Receiver box and everything and I mean everything looks amazing, spectacular, phenomenal, particularly the 1080p Signal that I now get from my xbox (the other cable I was using was a 1080p cable but only getting 1080i to my plasma) this cable gets the "P" to the 1080!!!! for you cant go wrong and I can tell you that for a fraction of what I paid for the other cables these are way better, produce better picture, sound great, feel very well made compared to the other cables that are being returned to the store and you get more length for way less dollars.....IT ALL ADDS UP PEOPLE, JUST BUY THESE AND STOP READING THIS ALREADY! I'M SURE YOU GET THE POINT!

FLAWLESS GREAT PRODUCT FOR A GREAT PRICE, AND READING OTHER REVIEWS I AM POSITIVE THAT IF I EVER NEED ANYTHING FROM MEDIABRIDGE THAT THEY WILL BE THERE TO HELP.

P.S..... BLU-RAY LOOKS INSANE!

High end cable at not such a high end price.
Bought this cable to connect my Xbox 360 to my HDMI computer screen, and it has really brought my gaming and movies to life! The improvements this mediabridge cable has made to my visual experience with my 360 over Microsoft's 360 HDMI cable are mind-numbingly obvious. Microsoft should be ashamed of themselves for giving out such garbage cables. With the mediabridge cable, my 360 puts out a sharper, more colorfully accurate picture. If you are in the market for a low price, high quality HDMI cable, look no farther!!!

Exactly What Was Needed, Even The Price!
I needed additional HDMI cables, but couldn't see myself spending - for "Monster" cables at BestBuy, so I did my research and came across these. Getting the same product, for less than per cable, I was able to buy 6 for the price of one "Name Brand"

And they are not cheaply made, they are well put together and I will use them for many years to come!

Works
you don not need an expensive cord to get digital signal. this works just as well and preforms great

Plug and Play!
The quality was good and the cable was well built! I have no issues with this cable. It is a great value.

Not as pictured
The package, photos, and exact product shown on Amazon.com are not the same as the product shipped. The photos and advertising clearly show heat diffusers on the modules. They arrived as plain unprotected modules, same product number. Otherwise, they seem to be working fine. I actually called Amazon prior to ordering, because I saw the unprotected modules in a retail store (.99 plus tax), same product number, and was confused. Also, same comment as mine from other Amazon reviews. I was assured by Amazon that if there was a discrepancy in the past, it would have been corrected by now. It turns out that is not the case.

Less expensive and does the trick
PNY seems to be less expensive than most other brands and seems to run as reliably as anything else on the market!

CowboyStudio NPT-04 4 Channel Wireless Hot Shoe Flash Trigger Receiver for Canon EOS, Nikon, Olympus & Pentax Flashes Other products by cowboystudio

If you're looking at this product, you probably already realize a need to get your flash off of your camera but still use it while shooting. Simply put, this product allows you to do that very easily, all you need to do is attach the transmitter to your camera's hot shoe, your flash to the receiver's hot shoe, turn everything on, and go about setting up the shoot.

The one drawback is that it only transmits one piece of information, which is "fire". It doesn't transmit any TTL information so you have to set your flash power level manually and either use your camera in manual or set it to underexpose by however much light the flash is adding to avoid washout (since in auto the camera will expose as if there is no flash). Also I find that with my rebel XTi, in second curtain sync mode, the flash still fires up front, but I believe that to be a limitation of the camera, not the NPT-04 (the flash goes off when the camera tells it to, it's not the transmitter's fault the camera is jumping the gun).

I've had my trigger for about 3 months now and haven't had any problems yet. I am quite pleased with my purchase.

Just what I needed !!!
I needed to control a slave flash but did not want the limitations of the line of site which is built in to my slave flash. This thing is amazing. using it with my nikon d3000 with no problems. I set the flash on the kitchen counter and went two rooms away and held the camera around the corner and wha-la --- flash. I plan on ordering a second receiver for my other flash. I have tested this only to about 40ft with no problems. if you are hesitating, dont. this is a great item.

Very Bad Service which turned out to be Good
I orderd this from India and shipped it to a friend of mine who was coming back to india. I thought that they shipped the Receiver and Transmitter, but when my friend got it to me i only got the receiver. After a few days I emailed the guys at Cowboy Studio and they were decent enough to send me the Trigger.
My Review has changed from Bad to Good..
Keep up the Good Work CowBoy Guyss..

Great with the right flash, but not nikon sb 400 / 600 or 900
This type of flash works just fine however if you are using a locking style nikon flash, this wireless is not the one. Why not? No locking pin hole. Without this, your flash can fall off of this set up.

However, if you have the old compression style flash, you will be just fine.

Cowboy Studio Wireless Remote
These work. Plain and simple they just work. I use them on my Canon 430EX II and have not had a problem. True you cannot utilize ETTL, you have to have the flash set to manual mode but for a cheap way to use wireless flash they work great. They feel kinda cheap and light but that's what they are. None the less they work. Good for the beginner on a budget like me.

The RAM worked like a charm. Dropped it in an WINXP system and noticed a nice improvement in performance (1 GB originally installed to 4GB). Not spectacular but I didn't expect it. Be aware if you install in a WINXP system that WINXP will only recognize 3GB of it and not all 4GB. Limitation in WINXP.

Sony Virtual 5.1 Channel Sound Bar - Black (HTCT150)

Saturday, July 10th, 2010

Background: I am an audio enthusiast with 3 small children. My previous audio system, run by 3 Carver stereo amps, is in boxes in the basement, as I did not want little hands breaking things or blowing up pieces. The old system had more spent in Monster Cable wiring then this system cost. Life changes and the wife did not want speakers and wires everywhere so I made a compromise.

Current Setup:
Sony Bravia TV (2006)
Sony HTCT150
Sony Digital Media Port TDM-iP10
Sony PS3 - Original 60gig
Nintendo Wii
Leap Frog - Zippity

At the time of this review I have owned the HTCT150 for just over 2 weeks and have been quite impressed with the results. The main reason I got the system is for movies and TV watching and being able to hear and control the sound. The output range is good and it does a nice job with lows and high end. I liked that the system could be passive as the PS3 is our main DVD player and entertainment source, i.e. Netflix streaming. I have the PS3 hooked up via HDMI. HDMI up to the TV and from the TV I have both optical out and RCA. The TV will not do ARC (audio return channels) though HDMI and the TV will not convert analog audio (Wii and Zippity) to optical. I let the TV handle the analog audio, RCA switching and have the RCA's go into SA-CD/CD, seems on the HTCT150 the TV RCAs will only work without optical in hooked up.

I have both an older 80gig iPod video and the iPhone 3G that I have hooked to the system using the Digital Media Port TDM-iP10. I use the video iPod for audio only and have full control over it using the remote for the HTCT150. I did a brief test with the iPhone by putting it in iPod mode, it worked as an audio source and had control of it with the remote. I did try to display pictures and it would not pass images or work as a video source. It seems the TDM-iP10 is audio only but you do get control with the HTCT150 remote.

One of the big reasons for my purchase was for nighttime watching and dynamic compression. The system has 2 layers of compression you can use to keep the sound even and not wake the kid. Woke the oldest already before turning on the compression. The system has NIGHT MODE, this is compression in the digital amp of the HTCT150 and limits all sources. Audio DRC (Dynamic Range Control) only works in Dolby Digital, but that covers the TV and PS3 and has 3 levels, None, Standard, Max. With turning both NIGHT MODE and Audio DRC on I can watch TV or movies and hear no volume difference between show and commercial or dialogue and explosions, this is important for us Mom's and Dad's.

Audiophile Time: I have played with the system with the LPCM and BluRay audio out and have been able to hear a difference. As they say " you are only as good as your source" . Dolby Digital bit rate out is around 960Kbs and Dolby True is around 7Mbs. By going into the Video Setup of the PS3 (go figure) and changing the audio output from bitstream to LPCM you can get the better sound. Bitstream outputs the encoding on the DVD/BluRay, LPCM has the PS3 do your decoding.

Overall impressions: The audio performance for a system under 0 is very impressive I feel. The surround effect is very weak, however if you have a good 5.1 or 7.1 mix as source there is a more open feel to the audio. I just have not felt like it has replaced a true 5.1 system. It completely has met the "Wife Acceptance" Factor that we all know is very important. I am very happy with this system and I am not afraid that little hands will destroy it and if they do, oh well it wasn't that expensive.

CT-150, Great Soundbar "if" you know how to set it up "correctly"
IMPORTANT information about soundbars and the CT-150:

For any negitive reviews, ignor them.
People that give the CT-150 and other soundbars negitive reviews simply dont know how to set them up or are using them in the wrong room shape.

If you have walls to the sides of you to reflect the sound coming from the CT-150 (or many other soundbars) you will get a room filling sound that in most case's can really come close to a surround sound.

As with any soundbar, they need to be mounted higher instead of lower, with a soundbar mounted lower the sound will get eaten up by carpet, and furniture and everything else that is at that level,,, a soundbar needs to be mounted at least at ear level or above to really work properly.

I have owned a ton of soundbars over the years (Yamaha YSP's, Vizio, JVC and Zvox just to name a few) my CT-150 sounds amazing (even better than my older CT-100 and CT-500).

"Some" settings for my CT-150,,,my BluRay player is set to bitstream for the Dolby Digital and DTS, center channel on my CT-150 kept at around +1 (if you set the center channel to high it over powers the surround effect),,, just doing those two things will greatly help in the overall sound.

Im getting a big room filling sound from my CT-150 because I have set it up corrctly and because I have walls on each side of the soundbar to reflect the sound around the room.

There are more settings that can be made to better the sound but I just wanted to list the two most important (center level kept lower and bitstream from your BD player).

Some people say "its not true surround" or "its not as good as a 5.1 system",, sorry but I take issue with those comments as I prefure the sound of a good soundbar over a 5.1 full surround system,,, with a soundbar you have sound all around you and your in a big sound bubble,, with a 5.1 system there is discrete sound coming from each speaker, to me that sounds less natural that a soundbar,,,, I would rather have a good soundbar than a 5.1 system any day of the week.

Anyhow,,,, the CT-150 is really a great sounding system,,, if you buy one, and it does not sound good,,, its your fault.

Cheers
Davyo

Great Choice
I have owned the sound bar for about a month now and love it. I watch movies on 25 and some time have to turn it down because it is too loud. It goes to 50 max. You hear dialogue crystal clear and a few times watching movies the surround bar has fooled me on surround effects. The sub woofer has the perfect amount of low end bass watching movies. I am very pleased with my purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade their TV speakers.

like night and day
We have a very large room with vaulted ceilings. The audio from the TV speakers was awful. Installed the 150 on our Sony Bravia and hid the subwoofer in a cabinet and it sounds great. I do wish the audio adjustments were viewable on the TV screen as I have to open the cabinet to see the readout to make adjustments. It made an amazing difference without having to install and place a bunch of speakers.

Very Satisfied
I did a ton of research on soundbars, and I am very pleased with this one. I didn't want a bunch of wired speakers, and my home theatre room is on the small side so my needs were minimal. This thing sounds and functions really well, I especially recommend it if your system connects to Pandora.

PTC Premium Gold Series High Speed HDMI Cable, 6 feet (3-Pack)

This works as expected and mentioned. I ordered this one to connect to my 3d Tv. The only thing I dont understand is that Tv is 240 Hz and this cable is giving only 60 Hz output. Still the 3d picture quality is awesome. I think we miss some picture quality between 60 and 240 Hz. I dont understand much of these terms, according to me picture quality must be good and it is working as expected. Very good cost.

Best Value
Haven't tested it's 1.4 abilities yet, but they I have zero complaints about their design, fit, and performance. They feel thick and well shielded without being too stiff, perfect fit, the rubber handles are comfortable for pulling and plugging and aren't so big they get in the way, no performance issues.

Quality cables at a quality price
The cables are well made and they do what they are supposed to, at a very low cost.

Overclocking requires better cooling
I bought this set to go with my i7 940 on an Asus Rampage III Extreme motherboard. Initially, after overclocking my CPU to 3.62Ghz and RAM up a few notches it was able to stress test on Prime95 64bit to push my CPU to 75C and RAM at 35C.

After doing major multitasking, I found myself with a frozen computer. RAM was recorded to have reached 60C.

I would recommend the Corsair RAM cooler but reviews aren't that great. Unless you plan to have over 10 browser tabs open, VLC Player with Battlefield Bad Company 2 at high default settings at 1920x1080 running in the background with Adobe Flash and Photoshop running all at the same time, the RAM usually stays at 20C to 40C.
